With black water rafting, you’re basically using a rubber tube which can be found in the tires of a truck. You sit on it and the river takes you with it, while it flows through the Ruakuri Cave. It’s the only way to visit this cave and there are two courses which can be taken. One takes three hours to complete, while the other takes five. It can be great fun doing it and you can turn off the lights, using the glow worms light to navigate through the cave.
